The Flexamix Solution

When it comes to finding solutions for the corrugated industry there is only one place to look: Rapid Bond, Inc. We are the premier leader for innovation and vision when it comes to technology that moves the bar forward. With many years of experience selling chemicals and capital equipment for the corrugated industry, we are today, the exclusive distributor of Flexamix, a next generation starch mixing module now available in North America that offers both the opportunity for sustainably and significant savings to corrugated box plants.

The Benefits of Flexamix

Flexamix is a mixing system that is able to use flexo and corrugator wastewater for starch preparation. Here at Rapid Bond, Inc., we offer the ability to re-utilize a valuable resource, water, as opposed to paying high fees for its treatment and disposal.

While it is important to remember that the FlexaMix can produce Stein-Hall starch we are also able to produce Hybrid Mix starch. Our exclusive viscometer allows us to precisely control the swelling of unmodified native pearl starch. In doing so, the FlexaMix liberates corrugated plants from the reliance on expensive starch additives and allows for significant savings in starch consumption.

Our approach at Rapid Bond, Inc. is that instead of resting on laurels, we continue pushing the technology envelope of starch kitchens. A technology that has not seen any significant change in over twenty-five years. Continuing on that theme, we now also offer the FlexaMix Duo Continuous which can produce 375 gallon batches every seventeen minutes. This FlexaMix model is perfect for high capacity plants that operate the next generation of high speed corrugator.

What It Achieves

Flexamix allows the corrugated box plant to shift away from the old paradigm of expensive additives, high starch consumption, and the high financial and environmental cost of waste water treatment and disposal. With a typical payback period of less than one year, the typical box plant can experience continued savings long after the FlexaMix has paid for itself.
